A cello recital featuring the latest in cello technology!

Luis Leguía, cellist from the Boston Symphony, will play a recital with Carmen Rodriguez-Peralta, piano.

Special guest Doriot Anthony Dwyer, flute will join Mr. Leguía and Ms. Peralta in John Sarkissian's Trio.

Mr. Leguía will perform on the carbon fiber cello that he invented. Hear recordings and read about the Luis & Clark Carbon Fiber Cello at the Luis & Clark web site.

Just In Time composers have written several new works for renowned Boston Symphony cellist Luis Leguía and legendary Boston Symphony flutist Doriot Anthony Dwyer. Join us for these world premiere performances:

Eleusis for cello and piano by Jorge V. Grossmann

Elusive Sleep for cello and piano by Pamela J. Marshall

Trio "Rustico" for flute, cello and piano by John Sarkissian

Plus beautiful and challenging music from the cello recital literature:

Elegy for cello and piano by Gabriel Fauré

Sonata for unaccompanied cello by Zoltán Kodály

Directions

Join us for a program of new songs and chamber music, inspired by emotions, poetry and dance.

Pianist Karen Sauer will perform solo pieces by Jorge Grossmann and Marc Rossi. Karen will be joined by soprano Valerie Anastasio in Pamela Marshall’s songs from Shakespeare’s “The Tempest”. Cellist Jing Li will perform Hayg Boyadjian's Nocturnes.

The prize for the most performers goes to Erika Foin, who presents the premiere of new songs for voice and chamber ensemble.

Green Line C: From the St. Paul Street stop walk up St. Paul Street, past Longwood Avenue, to the corner of Aspinwall Avenue.
Green Line D: From the Brookline Village stop, walk up Station Street, right onto Harvard Street, through Brookline Village to the light at Aspinwall, right onto Aspinwall Avenue.

Near the corner of Main St (Route 20) and Church St, near Watertown Square.

From Mass Turnpike (I-90): Take exit 17 (Newton -Watertown). Follow signs for Watertown. On Galen Street, go east towards Watertown. Just before you cross the Charles River, you will join Rte. 16. After you cross the Charles, move to one of the two left-turn lanes in Watertown Square, and then turn left on Rte. 20 (Main St.), heading towards Waltham.Take your second right onto Church Street (the Armenian Library and Museum is on the corner of Main and Church Sts.). The First Parish is one block on your right. Turn right at Summer Street to reach the parking lot.

Public Transportation: From Harvard Square take #71 bus down Mt. Auburn Street. As you approach Watertown Square, get off at the Dunkin Donuts. Summer St. is on the right. Follow Summer St. for two blocks until you see the church on your left.
